Vackan

The Vackan Territories are patrolled by the ferocious, lycanthropic Vackan, whose taste for combat is matched only by their taste for flesh.  Equipped with primitive cloaking technology, they frequently hunt in small packs and favour heavy yield, fast firing missiles over beam weapons.  Vackan vessels are fast, large, heavily armoured and resistant to all but the most intense assaults; even hand-to-hand, phasers and disrupters are of little use against them.
